7. Download the update v2.1.x software file, hp420-2170.bin.

8. After a successful download, the prompt “Do you want to reset to FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS? <y/

n> [n]:” appears. Type “n” to retain the current access point configuration. (Typing “y” restores

factory default settings and reboots the access point.)

9. After all code files have been successfully downloaded, reboot the access point.

Update Procedure for v2.1.x Software

TFTP Download from a Server

Syntax: copy tftp file

For example, to download a file named hp420-2170.bin from a TFTP server with the IP address of

10.1.0.9:

HP420#copy tftp file

3. Boot block image

Select the type of download<1,2,3>: [1]:1

TFTP Source file name:hp420-2170.bin

TFTP Server IP:192.168.1.10
